My friend Lex sends me an article about Delaware being a “rapacious parasite state with a long history of disloyalty and avarice,” from the New Republic. Now, as a native Delawarean, you might think that I’d be a little upset by that. But my family still lives there and they’re doing pretty darn well on what the state gives them in benefits (both were state employees, BTW). There’s no sales tax. Corporations seem to love it.
Delaware may have its problems, it’s true. But come on Lex, I’ll just throw out two words about North Carolina: Jesse Helms. Nuf said.
