A show worth staying up for

Though I feel like I’ve swallowed sandpaper and I’m tired from head to toe, I’m staying up past 10 p.m. tonight to watch the PBS special, “The Rise and Fall of Jim Crow.”

Of course, had I known it was a four-part series that started at the beginning of the month, I would have watched from the beginning. But Survivor, West Wing, the Sopranos and my own version of Just Shoot Me kept me from improving my mind and finding out what my parents and grandparents had to live through.

Oh well.
