To “sir” with luck

Bill Gates, the man who has more money than some developed nations, is being knighted. Yes, knighted.

It won’t be “Sir” Bill, though, because you’ve got to be a British citizen to hold that distinction (Editor’s question: So how long will it be before he buys dual citizenship?). He’ll be Bill Gates KBE or Knight Commander of the British Empire. (Empire? I knew it!)

Amazing what a little $210 million donation to Cambridge University will do. Better than fish and chips!

Hey Duke! He only gave you $20 million.
