ID10T error

So, I’m giving a lesson today in design to a group of folks. It’s sort of part of my job, which by the way hasn’t really been defined yet. The group is watching me manipulate a picture of an old-fashioned brush that looks a lot like a Medieval implement of torture with spikes potruding from the base.

One of the onlookers says, “That looks like something that should be used on you because of your attitude.”

“Excuse me!” I say.

I must be getting old or tired. Any other day I would have torn this person a new one. But I left it at, “Excuse me!” It was tempting to comment on this person’s technical skills; the inability to complete repetitive tasks; this person’s attitude about a job this person is darn lucky to have.

But I held my tongue.

You see, I believe in retribution and that at the proper time, it will be dispensed with the force of a defecating elephant suffering from constipation. It will be hard. It will be swift. It will be messy. It will leave a stain.
