From the Cyberjournalist Web site comes the news that Dow Jones Newswires has banned the use of spell check because:
“We have had too many incidents where the use of the spell-check program within our editorial production system (news station) led to our publication of errors on Dow Jones Newswires,” says Neal Lipschutz, Senior Editor, Americas, in a staff memo reprinted on Romenesko.
