Bad Apple

You know the world is going to Hades in a hand basket when working with Macs becomes as nerve-racking as working with PCs. I’ve spent about six hours over two weekends trying to get my stepfather-in-law’s iMac with the new AirPort Extreme wireless card to work with his old AirPort network.

I can’t find his network one room from the AirPort base station but I can get a network somewhere else in the neighborhood. The reception is poor of course.

Stopped in the Apple Store today to talk to tech support. They think it’s a hardware issue. Apple’s support site is no help.

I will not be conquered.
