Big brain, bigger pockets

I’m taking a GMAT math course in anticipation of scoring just barely high enough to get into “an” MBA program. This whole thing is a racket in that nobody except those who’ve just graduated from college (presumably) even remotely remembers the math on this test. So you’ve got to take a class (the full review class is slightly less than half the cost of the math review).

Here’s the laundry list of stuff you’ve got to do:

  1. Fill out application (no cost)
  2. Get transcripts ($5 per school attended AND per school sent to)
  3. Cost of review class ($200-$400)
  4. GMAT test ($225-$250)
  5. Tuition (for complete program $12,000-$80,000)

Not to mention books, pens, pads, computer (thanks mom and dad!), gas, etc., etc., etc.

Why am I doing this?

I’ll have to think about it…again.
