It’s been quite some time since I started posting again this month. We’ve been on vacation and I’ve been swamped at work.
To make matters even worse, I managed to convince my wife that it was in the best interest of the family that I go back to school. Actually, that’s not really true. My real reason was two-fold: I’d have many more options in case something happened and we had to move or I had to change careers; I wanted this education for me.
So, I’m in grad school. For an MBA to be exact. I hope to post a lot (yeah, right) while I’m sitting in class at Elon U. discussing leadership, finance, economics and, what my current class is all about, globalization.
If there are any cool tidbits, I’ll pass them along. For example, a couple of thoughts from tonight:
- Management – The ability to write something down on paper.
- Leadership – The ability to get into someone’s head and influence them to perform.
It’s going to be an interesting time.
