I’m actually starting to learn a little about the tags in WordPress. And I must say, not having to type the code each time is pretty amazing. So, by the weekend, if not sooner, I plan to move the old digs to the new.
I’m going to have to study the procedure a little, but it seems pretty straightforward. The only thing that doesn’t come over correctly is the comments. That might take a little longer.
The firewall issue is not solved but I’ve reached a compromise. I can use the static IP I set up for the Web server behind the firewall to post or make changes. It’s a little cumbersome ’cause whenever I press a button to save changes, it reverts to the IP address in front of the firewall and I get an error. It’s a WordPress setting so I can’t do much about it.
After I put the kids to bed and limp back downstairs (long story involving red meat, rich food and wine), I’ll practice uploading images and see where that takes me.
I think I’m going to like the new digs, though.
