Why Greensboro is doomed

Herb and I went out this weekend and went with several other couples to have a drink after dinner at Much. Despite my fear that we would be carded and turned away at the door for beting 1) too old and 2) not cool, they let us in.

Before we got through the door, we ran into one of the teachers from our day care.
Before we could order a drink, we ran into another couple from the day care.
Then we saw another. And another.
Then the mayor came in.

We go to what is allegedly the coolest bar in this town, and run into a bunch of older couples like ourselves from the day care??? I mean, nothing against any of these folks (or us), but something is definitely wrong with this picture. No wonder we can’t keep young professionals in this town.

I look forward to seeing those pics in the Rhino’s Much ad next week! Did the mayor bellydance?

Why not an alternate conclusion: You ARE cool! Accept the mantle!

You have to realize that young professionals that frequent bars, don’t go on Mondays. Heck, I don’t know many people that frequent bars on Mondays. Look to it on Friday/Saturday.

Ben, this WAS Saturday night…just didn’t have the set-up to post until Monday.

John, as much as I’d like to believe I’m still cool…..

Chewie, it gives me nightmares just thinking of it.
