I use three computers — an iMac, a blue and white G3 and a 21-inch Powerbook — at home that I have control over. I’ve got a work PC that, we’ll let’s just say it doesn’t get to play much with the Macs. Susan’s got another an iBook laptop and we have an old WallStreet in a bag.
I knew I wanted a Bluetooth mouse to go with my Powerbook so for Christmas Susan “bought me” (I ordered it) a three-button RadTech mini Bluetooth mouse. The one thing the PC has taught me is that I can hardly live without a multi-button mouse. More buttons are better. And it better have a scroll wheel.
I’ve tried to convince Susan that having multiple buttons is a blessing. Especially when you want to pull up contextual windows (Control+Click is your keyboard equivalent) instead of searching through menus. It’s the same other places I’ve gone; people just don’t get what all the extra buttons mean.
The Robservatory talks about the beauty of multi-button mice. Billy likes them, too.
And you don’t even need to feed them cheese.
