The fourth installment of my podcast “The Beat” is out (listen here or here. I’m not real happy with the production quality.
I don’t have the same resources at my fingertips as my buddy Jeri over at the Jeri & Nicole Show. I generally don’t have time to grab a reporter and head over to the “studio” and I don’t have anyone producing the show except for, well, me.
Which is also partly why there haven’t been any more RadioFree Sports podcasts either.
Allison Perkins was a trooper for calling and doing the interview. I just wish it could have sounded much better.
I’m still in learning mode when it comes to the sound engineering, but I’ve got a whole bunch of ideas about how to make good ‘casts. I guess I’m going to have to partner up with someone to show me the ropes.
I ponied up for some equipment that arrived today for some other projects I want to work on on my own. The wife wasn’t too happy about the expenditure, but I did some ‘splainin’ and I hope everything’s okay now.

Don’t worry buddy you’ll get it right. Get your format and content/interview style down and the production quality will come. Quality is very important but, more important than that the content has to be on point.
