Reporter Melissa Turner has an interesting story coming this Sunday on Adam Collins who’s been trekking the Mountains-to-Sea Trail. I interviewed Melissa for The Beat today. One of the funniest anecdotes about Adam’s travels involves some poachers, some deer, the police and a surprise ending.
Melissa also has her own wildlife tale involving a couple of amorous moose in the woods on her honeymoon.

Thanks for the opportunity, Herb. It was fun. I hope to document my moose stories for the paper soon (there are more!) My favorite family moment, from another trip: my grandmother, camera poised, making kissy noises at a moose. Was she hoping it would smile?
