More kid stuff

1) Abby and Camille were goofing around this weekend, dancing around the kitchen. Herb and I looked at them and said, as we often do, “Who are you people?”

“We’re your children! Capeesh?” Abby said with mock exasperation.

We must have looked absolutely thunderstruck in the moment before we started laughing, because she started to look worried — afraid she’d said something bad.

Now they’re both saying “capeesh?” every chance they get.

2) Camille’s day care was closed today, so Herb brought her into the office for a while. Photo editor Leger Meyland — who has seen Abby a lot more often than Camille — came up with one of the best descriptions of her yet.

“She’s like, pocket-sized,” he said.

Yep. She really has outgrown some of her 3T stuff and started graduating to 4T. But when we were folding up clothes tonight, we realized one of the T-shirts she wore this weekend was an 18-month size….

WOW!!! 18 month size, she is so tiny. But if she ever begins to worry about it later in life (which I am sure she won’t) she’s always got a cousin who understands. Remember what Dr. Seuss said : “Be kind to your small person friends, every who could be somebody’s mother,” or cousin for that matter. Give her a kiss and a hug for me!!!
