On behalf of Leary Davis, Dean of the Elon University School of Law, and John Burbridge, Dean of the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, Elon Executive Education would like to invite you to “Scouting the Future” a strategic exploration event for downtown Greensboro on Friday, October 14th, from 9:00 am to Noon.
We are inviting Greensboro business, civic, and community leaders to participate in an exercise that will employ Joel Barker’s “Implications Wheel”, a strategic exploration tool, to explore the vision for downtown Greensboro and more specifically, the impact and implications of locating the new law school in the downtown area.
Joel Barker, author of Future Edge, Paradigms, and Five Regions of the Future, and creator of the “Implications Wheel”, will personally conduct a 3-day “Implications Wheel” facilitator certification workshop for those helping with the event on October 11 – 13. Daniel Nelson, developer the new I-Wheel software, will be the primary facilitator for the community event on Friday.
Both the workshop and the community event will be at the Regency Room in the Elm Street Center. (www.theempireroom.com) A light continental breakfast will be served starting at 8:30 am.
You can visit the Executive Education web site at www.Elon.edu/ExecEd and select “Special Events” for more information on Friday’s event. For more information about the “Implications Wheel”, visit www.implicationswheel.com.
This is a great opportunity to see and experience how a tool like this can work first hand. (Also a really good networking opportunity. Please help spread the word and let us know if you can make it.
Thanks!
