So sorry no posts lately

The feeling hasn’t hit me to post lately, especially after having to edit a paper for class (turned into 30-some-odd pages).

Just one class – an exam – left in this semester, then a short week off and back at it for winter session.

There’s been a lot going on in other areas (work, social, etc.). The next few weeks are a blur of parties, mostly for the kids. It seems that everybody was born in December!

Camille has two this weekend. She has another next weekend as does Abby.

We have a get-together the week after that.

With school and work and housework, there’s little time left to think about blogging.

Of note, however, is that I’m get more and more requests to talk about or give advice about podcasting.

In the past couple of weeks, I’ve talked to a class at A&T, given some tech advice to a newspaper editor on the left coast, answered questions from researchers at a university up North, talked to a woman running a non-profit, and allowed a woman from a TV station east of us to videotape one of ours and ask me questions. I’ve also talked to folks at other local universities who have a great deal of interest in beginning or enhancing their offerings. Podcasting is growing in popularity at universities around the country as a way to get content to students and alumni.

Podcasting has exploded across the country – there are more than 20,000 listed on some sites. And there’s some consolidation going on with indy podcasters to generate revenue.

And vlogs are picking up steam as well now that iTunes is offering video support.

In the next few weeks, I’ll be exploring some other technologies. Hopefully, I’ll have more time to post.
