One of the gifts Abby got from Herb’s folks for Christmas was a Barbie alarm clock. Once we got back, I plugged it up, tuned it to Radio Disney, and set the alarm for 6:20 — about the time they need to get up to get to school on time.
I was somewhat doubtful that they’d actually get up, so on the first day, I listened for the sound and grinned when I heard their little feet hit the floor. Five minutes later, Abby appeared — already dressed. Maybe the novelty will wear off, but so far, they’ve been popping out of bed every day.
The other night, I asked them how they liked it. “It’s great!” Abby said. Camille was somewhat less effusive. “Hey, why can’t you sleep in your own room?” Abby asked.
“I don’t have a timer!” Camille protested.

Age does change things! I turn mine off as soon as I can get my arm from under the cover to hit it.
