I had the pleasure of spending an hour or so with a few of these folks today: Bruce Bradley, Decker Anstrom and Charlie Hill, along with Debbie Gentry, who’s in HR, and our publisher, our former HR director (new job) and a former boss who’s in HR now.
Strangely, I wasn’t nervous. In fact, it was truly a pleasure to talk to them about this.
They asked a lot of good questions, and I got the distinct feeling they had a strong commitment to this initiative.
Afterward, JR asked me how it went. I told him that he’d be getting an invitation to the publisher’s office pretty soon. He asked if he’d be joined by security. I said yes.
You gotta love a boss with a sense of humor.
