Ice, ice baby

I had lunch with my 4-year-old today.

After lunch, I read her a story.

When I started to leave, she said: “Daddy, I need to tell you something.”

I bent over, and she whispered, “Can I have a diamond?”

Wha?

“A small one.”

She put her thumb and forefinger together to represent a “small” diamond. Then she spread them apart as far as they could go and flashed a huge smile.

I smiled then ran out the door.

Valentine’s Day is next week. Sounds like little one has been checking out the ads in the paper.
