My job’s changed a little, I guess. I’ve been doing some behind-the-scenes online stuff, spurred on primarily because of my work with this blog. It’s helped my understanding of Web technologies tremendously to get my hands on a project and work with it.
With the podcasts, starting about this time last year, I moved to a different level. Now, I’m working in Flash, taking baby steps into the wading pool.
My most recent project is up on the work site now. Click here to take a look.
Guy Lichty is an interesting guy. In the hour or so I spent with him and reporter Allison Perkins (her story appears Sunday) and photographer Jerry Wolford, I heard a harrowing story about how he survived being mauled by not one but two polar bears and how he lived to tell about it.
That was back in ’79 when he worked at a zoo in Colorado. Today, he’s the curator of mammals at the N.C. Zoo.
Watch the videos. Read the story. I hope you like them.

Wow! Amazing story and the quality is awesome. The video was breaking up a little – might be my network connection. Are you using a streaming server? I think its cool (naturally) that you’re using Flash!!
No, unfortunately we’re not on that yet. We’ve got a contract but haven’t migrated to it yet. Yeah, I’d love to move a lot of our stuff to it.
I must say, I really love learning Flash. And I’ve turned a friend on to Flex for her business. She’d love more info and maybe even a WebEx.
Wow that is crazy!!! Awsome video/ interview and story!!!
