Camille is still Linus-like in her attachment to her blankie, also known as "Blanks." Getting it out of her hands, especially when she’s tired or cranky, is a chore. So the other morning, I’m trying to get her to brush her teeth, and told her I’d hold Blanks.
She gave it to me, directing me to take the handful she was holding, with a small tuft sticking up. She uses this little tuft to stroke her cheek, or someone else she loves.
"Hold it like this," she said.
"Why?" I asked, though I knew the answer.
"I don’t want to lose my spot," she said.
We went through this again tonight, and she further explained that the chosen spot featured the pink hearts, which were better than the blue or yellow hearts.
So if it comes up at your house, remember: small tuft featuring pink heart. It’s just better.
