A mate has been seen for Hoot! We’re not sure which Hoot is male and which is female, but we’re bankin’ on some little Hoots in the near future.
We’re certain they’re in the general vicinity of some nesting Blue birds. We can’t claim they’re ours really because they’re mostly seen in our neighbor’s yard behind us.
Seeing these owls has been really special for the girls, especially Abby who’s a budding environmentalist and who’s always been an animal lover. My goal this summer is to get her into a vet’s office to observe or in for work for a couple of hours a week helping to take care of the animals. I think she’d truly be in heaven.

How Cool! I hope Hoot will have the babies in your yard! So exciting. And kudos to Abby, the budding environmentalist! We definitely need more of those types around!!
How cool, you will have a whole family!!! I can totally see Abby working with animals and/or the enviornment. It totally fits her!!
