JW writes about going out with Bundle of Joy #3 and reminds me of the joy of being with our bundles now that they’re at such wonderful ages.
We took Thing 1 and Thing 2 to see "Over the Hedge" today after Susan and the girls spent part of the day in the yard and I trudged off to work for awhile.
I’m no movie reviewer but from what we’ve seen of "kids’ movies" these days, there’s plenty for adults to enjoy, too. With the fun comes lots of "adult" references to movies past. Despite the obvious lead up to it, one scene in particular sent Sue into convulsions. I bet Marlon Brando would never expect hysterical laughter from one of his most famous lines.
We’re movie-holics. Susan is my encyclopedia Movie-tanica, though. And now that they’re old enough, we can share our passion for the big screen with the kids.
Sharing popcorn, though, is a different matter.
As Susan said to me: "Next time, let’s give them the candy first, so we have more of the popcorn for ourselves."
Ah, family.

We haven’t seen “Over the Hedge” yet, but will definitely go now.
p.s. Eating popcorn at the movies is a ritual with us. We don’t share. We both have to have our own bag!
I guess that’s why I keep waking up having missed half the picture!
