I should be in class right now. Instead, I have a few less-painful minutes to publish.
A few weeks ago my neck around the shoulders began to ache. I chalked it up to a too-soft pillow. Changed pillows. Things felt a little better but still had some underlying pain.
Then, Tuesday morning I was cooking breakfast and a fly buzzed my right ear. I jerked. Then came the searing, white-hot pain that only comes when you know you’ve done something bad.
Felled for the first time in a long time, I headed off to the doctor. A pain killer, steroid and anti-inflam later and I’m still moving like Fred Sanford.
The drugs were my first option. I think I’m going to have to go with Option 2 (MRI) if things don’t get better over the weekend.
Meanwhile, I’m the only driver in the house because Susan had foot surgery. She’s ridin’ shotgun and lookin’ left for me, ’cause I can’t do that right now without gritting my teeth and making gutteral sounds.
I guess we need to teach Abby to drive sooner than we thought.
But on the bright side, I do have a few less-painful minutes to blog.

Geez, I hope someone gets this figured out quickly. I doesn’t sound like any fun.

Have not been bothered since a friend gave me a tempurapedic pillow. It’s great.
