On Camille’s last day of daycare, Susan did what she was supposed to do.
She cried.
Teachers cried.
Camille? She had a blast.
Water play. Cookies. Ice cream.
And then it was over.
Both girls went to this center, which hasn’t been open all that long. Abby started during its second year of operation when she was about 2. Camille started as an infant.
There’s been a lot of change. But the quality of care, to us, always has remained a constant.
Here’s to all the teachers who helped raise our kids and loved them. To all the parents who befriended them. To all the people who make that center work.
And to all the kids that were and are our kids.
