Given what our schedules are like lately, it’s nearly impossible to do all the fun things we want to do as a family. This week, however, we were “required” to work together as a clan to produce: Turkey a la Camille.
The idea was to decorate your turkey, not with dressing and gravy but with any object you wanted. We chose macaroni and Cheerios. While I cooked dinner, Camille colored the turkey then helped Abby paint macaroni. It was a tough sell at first for Camille because she (being the jealous type) didn’t want to leave all the painting to Abby.
After Susan got home, she helped them glue the pieces together. It’s not quite as appetising as a freshly cooked bird begging to be devoured. But it has it’s own certain appeal.
Enough appeal, though, to get Camille a little prize as one of the top three decorated turkeys in the class.
I’m now glad I didn’t add the little butcher knife and blood tattoo to the turkey leg.

FANTASTIC turkey! Abby did a great job on the macaroni! Camille must be in a great school. This seems like the 2nd family project you’ve done. What a great assignment!!
