The business potential of the college press
Dan Gillmor asks “Why Are College Papers Being Read?” then answers, “College newspapers are relentlessly local.”
Dave Winer posits: “Another reason why college papers are worth reading — they aren’t owned by media companies.”
To which Gannett (which owns two of my former employers) and Viacom give an answer.
Seems to me there could be some good partnership potential, including online with the number of colleges and universities in this region.
