Positive imagery

From the N&R:

Curtis Cotton III, a UNCG junior, said the campaign is a welcome effort to bring the positive accomplishments of black men to the forefront.

“A lot of us are tired because we’re striving so hard not to be the stereotype, but we’re getting overshadowed,” Cotton said.

“What do you see on the news? Another black man who got shot, not another black man who graduated from school.”

Amen, brother.

Yeah, really! The news is sooo overwhelmingly negative that I sometimes don’t watch. It’s just too skewed for me to take!
