We’ve held out long enough, I guess. If all goes as planned, Abby will have her ears pierced later today. It’ll be her first real present from us for her birthday.
SHE decided she didn’t want us to give her anything until her party this weekend. If we survive (a sleepover), we’ll try to post something. If we’re not drop-dead tired that is.
When I say we’ve held out long enough, Susan and I had talked about not doing the ear-piercing thing until Abby could go do it herself. Hey, I didn’t get mine pierced until I was in my 20s. (Note: I no longer have an earring. And it was only one. And it was in the LEFT ear.)
But she’s worn us down. Okay, she did what we asked: She did her mile run at school.
