Nice work

Our friend Rick has one cool day job. He’s a freelance videographer, which takes him all over the world and frequently under the ocean.

Right now, he’s working with a crew of archaeologists documenting and recovering artifacts from the Mardi Gras, a 19th century shipwreck which lies 4,000 feet down in the Gulf of Mexico. A little too deep for traditional diving, so for all you gadget freaks and geeks, here’s a rundown on their little helpers.

No video or log entries yet, but they have posted the first photos. Amazing stuff, though the white crabs weird me out.
