Punch buggy

Sadly, this kids’ game has gotten under our skin.

What’s a punch buggy? A VW Beetle. And it’s the impetus for a game. The game even has rules, which can be changed depending on who’s playing.

On our vacation, Susan slaughtered me. In my own defense, I was driving. Even though I was being the “good parent,” by doing my job to keep the family safe, I did get a few punches in, too.

We don’t know how the kids got started. I think Abby was the first being at that age where this type of thing usually manifests itself.

But even our 16-year-old babysitter is into it.

As we start showing our age, maybe we’ll end up like these guys. I hope not.

Hooper plays this game with me when I’m driving, but because I’m driving he often offers to “share” the punch buggy he spotted with me.
