The words no parent wants to hear

Especially coming from your 6-year-old daughter. After I read to Camille tonight and right before I turned off the light, came this conversation:

Camille: Daddy, I’m pregnant.

Me: What?

Camille: I’m pregnant.

Me: Do you even know what pregnant means?

Camille: No (giggle).

Me: Okay.

I didn’t consider this the proper time for a “learning opportunity.”

    Oh God! They say your child’s behavior at 2 and 6 is a predictor of what they’ll be like at 16.
