Queasy

It’s been a year since Susan had both feet operated on. A pin in the left foot, however, worked its way out. Today, she had it removed.

Ouch.

It wasn’t the greatest removal. First, she had to wait a long time.

Then the numbing didn’t get to all the places it needed to and when the doctor started to cut, she could feel it. After more numbing, which was painful in itself, came more cutting and then the even-less-fun pin removal.

She described the sensations in much more detail, but if I try to repeat it here, I’m going to get queasy again.

And I’m really glad the kids aren’t reading the blog yet, because they were kind of grossed out too.
