P.S. I’m back

Turned in my final paper today. Since September, the only writing I’ve been able to do is for CST 600, the first course in the Masters program in Communication at UNCG. It’s been all reading, writing and research. And you know what? I’ve loved every minute of it.

Going back to school has been the most rejuvenating experience! Even with a full-time job, two young kids, and all the activities those two things entail. People ask me, “Are you crazy?’ in the same way that question is posed to skydivers, scuba divers, ice climbers, and these awesome dudes.

School may not seem quite as exciting on the surface, but it has been an outlet that absorbed my thoughts, captivated my imagination, and opened up new vistas. I had no idea I’d enjoy it this much.

The downside? No blogging. No columns about the kids no stories about ribs. I didn’t even write about my fantastic girls’ weekend in New York! (See photo below.)

Herb has complained (a lot) about being the lone blogger in the family.

Well, I’m back. At least until Jan. 14, when I start CST 601.
