I made a very quick trip to New York this past weekend for some training for my new occupation. I left Sunday evening and finally got to the hotel sometime around 9:45 p.m. Then got up the next morning for an all-day training session and returned to Greensboro Monday evening/Tuesday morning.
My outbound and inbound flights were delayed. But not as delayed as they would have been had the winter weather prediction for NYC come true. New England ended up getting the brunt of the storm.
Training went well and I met a lot of great people in the field.
My one takeaway, though, is that I truly miss The City even though I didn’t get to see much of it during this trip. It’s been years since I visited and I made a promise to Susan and to the girls that it won’t be that long before we all return.

Actually, I had to show it leaving NYC. Believe it or not, my driver’s license has faded so much you can barely read it. It wasn’t a problem leaving N.C., but coming back, the woman wasn’t buyin’ it.
