We tried. But the clouds were just too much for us. We caught snatches of it as the clouds passed. Unfortunately, my camera just wasn’t up to the task. Susan giggled at the pictures I took. I’m no photographer.
But our friend Johnny Horne is. In fact, he is one amazing celestial photographer. And he captured some amazing images from last night.
I’m glad he had a better view than we did:
For me, tonight’s sky was clear in the vicinity of the moon more than it was cloudy. The view in binoculars was very nice as the planet Saturn and the bright star Regulus framed the eclipsed moon.
