Shave and a haircut

Whoa doggy!

Tuesday was groomin’ day for the Pipster. He hasn’t been shorn since we picked him up and he had really gotten fluffy to go along with his cute.

Pippin shornBut it was time. We took him to Greensboro Day Spa to be trimmed by Meg Wood on a recommendation from the kennel we bought him from. Meg arrived not to long ago, a breeder and kennel owner herself, until Katrina hit New Orleans. Now she’s the proprietor at the spa.

And it is a spa. Pip got the treatment and she gave him a “Lakeland” cut, which looks more like a Marine buzz cut to us except around the face and on his legs. We hardly recognized him when we picked him up.

Camille: “Mommy, he looks like a little rat now.” When she saw that “rat” wasn’t what Mommy was thinking - or liking - she tried another small animal.

His new look is taking some getting used to. We think he’s cold. We think he’s skinny. We think he’s not a rat.

The staff at Greensboro Day Spa fell in love with him. He’s a terrier of course. And he seemed to get along with all the other dogs there.

When we brought him home though, he was pooped pup. I think that expressing his anal glands was a bit much for him (it would have been for me, too) because all he wanted to do was lay in his crate and sleep for the rest of the night.

Dude, I feel ya.

What’s the URL? Or phone number? It’s a lot closer than where we go.

    Sue, the website is http://www.greensboropetspa.com/
And Meg is real terrier person. She has Airedales, Welsh and Cairns, so she definitely won’t give your dogs a bad hair day.
