Insane for the membrane

Moo StickTerriers like to chew. And chew.

They’ll stop to drink and pee. Then they’ll chew some more.

At least that’s Pippin’s M.O. He likes, nay he loves the Moo Stick. Either Susan or I end up holding it as he whiles the time away. At night, he can go for hours until he tires himself out and collapses in a heap on the couch.

One of the few negatives about the Moo Stick is that after enough chewing, it leaves … membrane! With his furry face, Pip usually ends up with a few white strands tangled up in his hair. And, it gets all over everything. And he likes to carry it around. He also likes to prop it up against you to get some leverage. Sometimes — well lots of times — he likes to switch ends. So you end up with the wet, nasty chewed end against you, or something else that touches you, while he gnaws on the virgin end.

Sometimes, it’s the only way we get to do anything at night after the girls go to bed. If it weren’t for the stick we’d have to entertain him constantly. His current fav is tug-o-war with a chew toy that’ he’s all but destroyed.

Wednesday night, it was Susan’s turn to get the wrong end of the stick, and it happened during the American Idol finale. Pip can’t tell time.

Well, at least the Bully Stick isn’t dangerous to him like rawhide.
