My Confucius thought for the day

In a country well governed, poverty is something to be ashamed of. In a country badly governed, wealth is something to be ashamed of.

Banking. Financial Services. Automobiles. Etc. Etc. Free market doesn’t equal government handouts.

Confucius is confused as to what you’re trying to say.

Hmm. Well, I was thinking this country has been governed badly for the last 8 years. I think both parties can agree to that. Now we have industries, long proponents of the free-market system and less regulation, ponying up to the government trough for a handout.

In the REAL free market, if you fail, and I’m quoting from the host of “The Weakest Link:” “You are the weakest link. Goodbye.”

I heard today that AIG was about to dole out a half billion in compensation. Those execs ought to be ashamed, but I think they don’t know what that means.
