Susan Ladd is features editor at the News & Record. She’s originally from Durham. An avid scuba diver, she and Herb were married in 1996 during a diving trip.
Besides writing and editing for the newspaper, Susan also has done freelance writing for Fodor’s travel guides, Scuba Times and Rodale’s Scuba Diving.
Susan is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in journalism. She enjoys travel, diving, reading, going to movies and spending time with her family.
Herb Everett is originally from Wilmington, Del.
Herb’s lived up and down the East Coast, residing in Delaware, Connecticut, North Carolina and Florida, and has worked for newspapers as a sports writer, copy editor and page designer, information technology, and Internet operations.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in information systems and operations management, Herb recently completed a master’s in business administration at Elon University. He enjoys travel, diving, golf, going to sporting events, reading, going to movies and spending time with his family.
